The Panasonic PT-RZ14K is a compact, high-brightness laser projector engineered for rental, staging, live events, projection mapping, museums, houses of worship, and immersive experiences. Delivering up to 14,000 lumens of brightness and WUXGA image quality, the PT-RZ14K combines professional-grade performance with a significantly smaller and lighter chassis, making transportation, setup, and operation faster and more cost-effective.
Designed around Panasonic's proven SOLID SHINE Laser technology, the PT-RZ14K features advanced image processing, intelligent workflow tools, Intel® SDM expandability, and up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, making it an ideal solution for demanding professional AV environments.
The PT-RZ14K has been specifically developed for rental and staging professionals who require exceptional performance without the logistical challenges often associated with high-brightness projectors.
Although brighter than its predecessor, the PT-RZ14K occupies significantly less space and weighs considerably less, allowing installation crews to deploy, transport, and store the projector more efficiently. The compact footprint also opens opportunities for installation in venues where traditional 3-Chip DLP projectors would not be practical.
Unlike many high-brightness 3-Chip DLP projectors that require 200-240V power, the PT-RZ14K can deliver its full 14,000-lumen brightness using standard 100-120V AC power.
This provides significant flexibility for event spaces, temporary installations, and venues where high-voltage infrastructure may not be available, reducing setup complexity and overall installation costs.
The integrated Intel® SDM-compatible slot enables simple expansion through optional function boards and advanced AV processing modules. This allows organizations to adapt connectivity and functionality to suit evolving project requirements.
Supported Expansion Options Include:
The Smart Projector Control App simplifies installation and operation by enabling wireless control of up to 64 projectors simultaneously from a smartphone or tablet.
Built-in NFC functionality allows technicians to configure projector IDs, network settings, and IP addresses without AC power. This significantly reduces setup and teardown time in large-scale deployments.
The projector supports onboard storage of custom BMP and PNG test patterns, allowing users to calibrate systems using client content or specialized alignment images before media servers are connected.
Panasonic's Free Grid system enables image correction directly from the projector remote control. Adjustable grids ranging from 2 × 2 to 17 × 17 allow highly precise image shaping for curved surfaces, projection mapping, and unconventional display environments.
Visual Software Suite (VSS) combines alignment, calibration, monitoring, image correction, and management tools into a unified platform that streamlines installation and commissioning workflows.
Remote Preview LITE enables engineers to validate incoming video signals before projection begins by viewing thumbnail previews remotely through a web browser or monitoring software.
This feature minimizes setup errors and simplifies troubleshooting during live productions and mission-critical events.
A built-in information display provides real-time access to system status, input signal information, runtime data, temperature monitoring, firmware updates, and diagnostic reporting.
Panasonic's latest Dynamic Contrast technology delivers an impressive 25,000:1 contrast ratio. Advanced scene analysis continuously evaluates image content and dynamically adjusts laser illumination to maximize image depth and realism.
The result is improved shadow detail, brighter highlights, and more dramatic visual impact across all types of content.
Gradation Smoother reduces unwanted color banding in gradients and low-bit-depth content. Users can select multiple correction levels depending on source material, significantly improving image quality without requiring content modification.
The PT-RZ14K incorporates Panasonic's latest black-level calibration tools, enabling highly precise adjustment for curved screens, edge-blended displays, and multi-projector environments.
Up to 17 control points can be used to reshape black borders and create near-perfect blending with pixel-level precision.
Enhanced black-level processing extends beyond the active image area, eliminating visible transitions between projection zones and creating seamless large-format displays.
The optical engine and laser light source conform to the IP5X Dust Protected standard and work in combination with Panasonic's liquid-cooling architecture to provide up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection.
The filterless design minimizes service requirements and reduces operating costs while maintaining image performance in demanding environments.
The PT-RZ14K supports Panasonic's extensive range of interchangeable 3-Chip DLP lenses, including ultra-short-throw, short-throw zoom, standard zoom, long-throw, and fisheye optics.
Powered lens shift provides exceptional installation flexibility and makes alignment easier across a wide variety of venues.
Backup Input functionality automatically switches to a secondary HDMI signal if the primary source fails, maintaining uninterrupted image delivery with switching times as fast as 0.3 seconds.
A built-in mechanical shutter protects DLP imaging components from direct exposure to powerful laser lighting commonly used during concerts, productions, and live events.
Panasonic's failover circuitry allows projection to continue even if an individual laser diode fails, minimizing brightness loss and maintaining reliable operation during critical presentations and events.
