JPL Scout 300 Push-To-Talk (PTT) Trigger Amplifier Switch

Key Features:

  • Ergonomic pistol-grip design with a fast-throw PTT trigger mechanism
  • PJ-7 (2-prong plug) connection designed for Motorola Solutions Avtec Scout and radio dispatch consoles
  • JPL/PLX Quick Disconnect (QD) interface compatible with any standard 6-wire QD headset
  • Selectable trigger functionality: momentary push-to-talk or lockable open-line operation
  • Integrated LED indicator glows green during active voice transmission and red when muted
  • Thumb-wheel transmission volume control for fast, fine-tuned caller audio adjustments
  • Includes a wrist lanyard and a removable belt clip for left or right side wearing options
  • TAA compliant and manufactured for high-reliability 24/7 critical communications environments

Mission-Critical Dispatch Ergonomics

Designed for high-stress operational environments, the JPL Scout 300 utilizes an intuitive pistol-grip controller that lets dispatchers naturally position their index finger over the trigger switch. Pushing the trigger opens the microphone for instant voice transmission, while releasing it immediately mutes the channel to prevent unintended ambient noise from entering broadcast communications.

Versatile Trigger Locking and Volume Control

For extended transmissions or hands-free calls, the Scout 300 includes a lockable trigger mechanism that holds the microphone line open without requiring constant pressure. An integrated fast-throw thumb-wheel scroll control allows operators to adjust incoming call volume quickly without taking their eyes off critical console screens.

Universal QD and PJ-7 Console Integration

The unit serves as an inline bridge between standard 2-prong dispatch jacks (PJ-7) and quick-disconnect headsets. Because it utilizes a universal JPL/PLX-style QD connector, dispatch centers can pair the Scout 300 with their preferred single-ear or dual-ear headsets without replacing existing audio peripherals.
