The Crestron® MPB4-201-B is a modern, wall-mounted media presentation button panel designed to provide intuitive control of AV systems, displays, lighting, shades, and other room technologies. Built to work seamlessly with Crestron 3-Series® and 4-Series® Control Systems, it delivers a simple yet highly flexible user interface for classrooms, meeting rooms, lecture halls, training facilities, and enterprise collaboration spaces.
Powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), the MPB4-201-B combines elegant aesthetics with enterprise-grade reliability, enabling centralized room control through a single network connection for both power and communication.
Customizable Backlit Capacitive Controls
The MPB4-201-B features six programmable capacitive buttons that can be customized using supplied icon chips or optional laser-engraved labels. Each button provides clear visual feedback with blue illumination when active and white illumination when inactive, allowing users to easily identify selected sources, lighting scenes, or custom room functions.
Four dedicated control buttons are positioned below the main interface, providing convenient access to power, mute, and volume controls. An integrated volume gauge offers real-time visual indication of audio levels.
Built-in proximity sensing automatically activates the interface as users approach, while intelligent auto-brightness adjustment ensures optimal visibility in varying ambient lighting conditions.
Designed for 3-Series® and 4-Series® Control Systems
The MPB4-201-B integrates directly with Crestron 3-Series and 4-Series Control Systems through a secure Ethernet connection. This enables centralized control of AV equipment, displays, audio systems, lighting, motorized shades, and other connected technologies throughout a room or facility.
The platform also supports expanded control experiences through Crestron touch screens, wireless remotes, and mobile applications, creating a consistent user experience across multiple interfaces.
Crestron Fusion® Integration
Support for Crestron Fusion® enables centralized room scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and management. Organizations can track space usage, monitor technology status, automate room functions, and improve operational efficiency across campuses and enterprise facilities.
Fusion integration also helps reduce energy consumption through automated control of AV systems, lighting, shades, and HVAC systems based on room occupancy and scheduling data.
XiO Cloud® Device Management
The MPB4-201-B supports the Crestron XiO Cloud® platform, allowing administrators and integrators to remotely provision, monitor, and manage devices across a single building or a global deployment. The cloud-based platform simplifies installation, maintenance, updates, and ongoing system management at scale.
PoE-Powered Installation
Utilizing Power over Ethernet (PoE), the MPB4-201-B receives both power and network connectivity through a single Ethernet cable. This reduces installation complexity and eliminates the need for dedicated power wiring or local power supplies.
Compatible PoE injectors and Crestron PoE switches can be used to create a complete network-powered control solution.
Flexible Mounting Options
The MPB4-201-B is designed for flush mounting in a standard 1-gang European electrical box, making it an ideal replacement for existing MPC3 Series controllers. It can also be installed in lecterns, podiums, and custom furniture applications.
For projects requiring U.S. wall box compatibility, an optional retrofit mounting bracket enables installation in a 2-gang U.S. electrical box. A removable front cover allows labels to be updated without uninstalling the device, while the included security screw helps prevent unauthorized removal.
Optional Tabletop Configuration
With the optional MPC3/MPB3‑TTK‑SQR‑B Tabletop Kit, the MPB4-201-B can be converted into a stylish freestanding controller, making it ideal for conference tables, executive desks, reception counters, and collaborative workspaces.
Wall-Smart® Mounting Compatibility
Through Crestron's partnership with Wall-Smart®, the MPB4-201-B is compatible with select retrofit mounting solutions, providing additional flexibility for architectural and design-focused installations.
