The DM-NVX-385 is a powerful DM NVX® AV-over-IP encoder/decoder and presentation switcher designed for modern enterprise environments. Combining network AV transport, advanced switching, USB-C® connectivity, and support for ultra-wide 5K resolutions, the DM-NVX-385 delivers a scalable solution for conference rooms, classrooms, digital signage networks, and campus-wide AV deployments.
Featuring two HDMI® inputs, two USB-C® inputs, a scaling HDMI output, AES67 audio integration, USB and KVM routing, and support for both copper and fiber networking, the DM-NVX-385 provides exceptional flexibility while maintaining visually lossless video quality and real-time performance.
The DM-NVX-385 incorporates a built-in 4x1 presentation switcher with two HDMI® and two USB-C® inputs. Automatic input switching, web-based control, and control system integration simplify source selection for meeting rooms and collaborative environments. USB-C inputs support DisplayPort™ Alt Mode connectivity and bidirectional USB 2.0 data transport for seamless laptop integration.
Designed for the latest generation of displays and collaboration spaces, the DM-NVX-385 supports 5K Ultra-Wide (5120 × 2160) and Super-Wide (5120 × 1440) resolutions. This expanded capability enables compatibility with advanced widescreen monitors and large-format collaborative displays.
DM NVX® technology delivers real-time, full-motion 4K60 and 5K video over standard Gigabit Ethernet networks. Interactive content, videoconferencing, digital signage, and live video sources are presented with imperceptible latency, ensuring a natural user experience and synchronized display performance.
Pixel Perfect Processing technology preserves source image quality while transporting video over the network. Whether operating as an encoder or decoder, the DM-NVX-385 maintains visually lossless image quality with end-to-end latency of less than a single frame.
In encoder mode, the DM-NVX-385 supports H.264 video streaming, enabling content distribution to compatible Crestron touch panels, digital graphics engines, and third-party H.264-capable devices. This added functionality extends content delivery beyond standard DM NVX endpoints.
The DM-NVX-385 supports lossless 7.1 surround sound audio formats, including Dolby Atmos®, Dolby TrueHD®, DTS-HD®, DTS:X®, and uncompressed PCM audio. Built-in downmixing automatically converts multichannel audio to stereo when required while maintaining network-wide audio distribution flexibility.
Native AES67 support enables seamless audio embedding and de-embedding with Crestron DM NAX® and other AES67-compatible devices. An integrated analog audio connection can be configured as either an input or output for additional installation flexibility.
Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) support allows audio from connected displays, including smart TV applications, to be transported across the network as a multichannel audio-over-IP stream. This enables simplified cabling and improved integration with distributed audio systems.
A built-in 5K scaler automatically optimizes content for connected displays. Video wall processing supports configurations of up to 64 displays with adjustable zoom capability and bezel compensation, making the DM-NVX-385 suitable for large-format visualization environments.
USB 2.0 and KVM routing capabilities enable keyboards, mice, and other peripherals to be extended across the network. USB traffic can be switched and routed independently or alongside AV streams, supporting a wide range of collaboration and operational workflows.
Advanced security features including 802.1X authentication, Active Directory® integration, AES-128 encryption, PKI authentication, TLS, SSH, and HTTPS help protect AV content and ensure compliance with enterprise IT standards.
Dual RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports and an SFP fiber port provide deployment flexibility across both copper and fiber infrastructures. The DM-NVX-385 can operate on dedicated AV networks or existing enterprise network environments.
Configuration and monitoring are available through the integrated web interface, DM NVX Director® virtual switching appliances, and the Crestron XiO Cloud® platform. These management tools simplify deployment, monitoring, and administration across large-scale AV networks.
The low-profile enclosure can be mounted behind displays, beneath tables, inside lecterns, equipment cabinets, or AV carts. Power is supplied via PoE++ or an optional external power supply, reducing installation complexity and minimizing cabling requirements.
The DM-NVX-385 is ideal for corporate meeting spaces, boardrooms, higher education facilities, digital signage deployments, command centers, training environments, and enterprise-wide AV-over-IP systems requiring advanced switching, 5K resolution support, and secure network-based AV distribution.
