Description

The MXnet 48-Port Network Switch serves as the central command hub for the entire MXnet AV‑over‑IP ecosystem. Built from the ground up by AVPro Edge, the AC‑MXNET‑SW48 integrates a custom Network Operating System engineered specifically for multicast-heavy AV workflows. Its Intelligent A/V Processing (IAVP) technology optimizes multicast routing, reduces processor load, and ensures stable, fast AV switching.

As part of the broader MXnet ecosystem—comprising encoders, decoders, processors, and control tools—the switch supports video wall processing, EDID management, resolution scaling, and real-time system monitoring through the MXnet MENTOR platform. The switch forms the backbone of robust AV distribution systems for conference centers, enterprise campuses, high-end residential, and mission-critical environments.

Benefits

  • Point‑to‑Point Latency: Less than or equal to 33ms (1 frame) for HDMI or decoder analog outputs.
  • Encoder Latency (Non‑Downmixing): Less than or equal to 1ms for 2‑channel PCM workflows.
  • Encoder Latency (AVDM Models): Less than or equal to 60ms when downmixing high‑bitrate audio such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS‑MA.
  • Unnoticeable Performance: Anything under 100ms is imperceptible to end users; MXnet consistently stays far below that threshold.
