The Allen & Heath Qu-6 redefines compact digital mixing with a powerful 96kHz XCVI processing core, enhanced channel capacity, flexible routing, and a completely redesigned user experience. Built for live sound, installations, houses of worship, corporate events, and production environments, the Qu-6 combines legendary ease of use with next-generation audio performance, advanced processing capabilities, and extensive connectivity options.
At the heart of the Qu-6 is Allen & Heath's powerful XCVI processing core, delivering exceptional 96kHz audio quality and ultra-low latency performance. The enhanced processing platform unlocks DEEP Processing capabilities, bringing premium dynamics and processing options from Allen & Heath's flagship systems to the Qu series for the first time.
The Qu-6 maintains the familiar and intuitive form factor that made the original Qu series so popular while introducing significant hardware improvements throughout the console. Updated microphone preamps and premium-grade 96kHz analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters ensure pristine audio capture and playback, preserving every detail of the source material.
With 24 XLR/TRS combo mic/line inputs, 16 XLR outputs, and 25 motorized faders, the Qu-6 provides extensive connectivity and hands-on control for demanding live and installed sound applications.
Designed for maximum speed and ease of use, the Qu-6 builds upon the "walk up and mix" workflow that made the original Qu series a favorite among engineers transitioning from analog consoles. The updated interface includes a fast and responsive touchscreen, four fully customizable fader layers, additional assignable SoftKeys, and expanded routing flexibility.
Each channel now features a dedicated display showing channel names, channel types, or socket assignments, alongside color-coded level metering for instant visual monitoring and improved workflow efficiency.
The Qu-6 offers flexible patching and routing options while retaining the simplicity of classic one-to-one Qu routing. Users can easily customize signal paths to accommodate a wide range of live sound, production, and installation requirements.
For networked audio applications, the Qu-6D model includes a built-in 16x16 Dante interface operating at either 96kHz or 48kHz, enabling seamless integration into larger audio networks and installed systems.
Whether capturing live performances, rehearsals, or virtual soundchecks, the Qu-6 offers versatile recording and playback capabilities. A built-in 32x32 USB-C audio interface enables multitrack recording directly to a computer, while integrated SD card support provides 32-channel standalone multitrack recording without additional hardware.
The USB-A port further supports simple stereo recording and playback, making it easy to capture events or play background music in a wide variety of applications.
The integrated SLink port allows the Qu-6 to connect directly with Allen & Heath's Everything I/O ecosystem, including stage boxes, rack expanders, and other compatible digital systems. This flexible architecture allows users to mix and match I/O devices while expanding system capacity as needed.
The console can also communicate directly with other Allen & Heath digital mixers, supporting up to 128x128 channels of 96kHz audio for advanced routing and system integration.
The Qu-6 is fully DEEP Processing ready, enabling access to premium processing models and advanced audio tools derived from Allen & Heath's flagship dLive platform. These high-quality processing options allow engineers to achieve superior sound quality without relying on external hardware.
Qu's intelligent Gain Assistant dramatically simplifies system setup by automatically establishing optimal input gain levels for one or multiple channels. The system continuously monitors incoming signal levels during operation, helping prevent clipping while maintaining consistent audio performance throughout the event.
The built-in Feedback Assistant automatically detects and suppresses feedback-prone frequencies using up to 16 filters per output. This powerful tool allows engineers to quickly optimize system stability, reduce feedback risks, and focus on delivering exceptional mixes with confidence.
