The Allen & Heath AHM-32 with the AH-M-AHM-32-AEC-A expansion module combines the powerful audio routing and DSP capabilities of the AHM-32 audio matrix processor with advanced Acoustic Echo Cancellation technology. Designed specifically for modern conferencing and collaboration environments, this solution delivers exceptional speech intelligibility and seamless communication for both in-room and remote participants.
The AHM-32 provides a fully configurable 32×32 processing matrix, enabling flexible audio routing across multiple zones and applications. Featuring 12 mic/line inputs, 12 line outputs, extensive DSP tools, and scalable audio networking options, the platform is ideally suited for corporate meeting spaces, educational facilities, hospitality venues, government buildings, and large commercial installations.
Powered by Allen & Heath's high-performance 96kHz FPGA engine, the system delivers premium audio quality with ultra-low latency and extensive processing resources for complex audio environments.
The AH-M-AHM-32-AEC-A expansion module adds 12 channels of dedicated Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) processing to the AHM-32, making it an ideal solution for conference rooms, boardrooms, hybrid learning spaces, video conferencing systems, and unified communications environments.
AEC technology intelligently removes the acoustic echo that occurs when audio played through room loudspeakers is picked up by local microphones and transmitted back to remote participants. This significantly improves call quality and ensures clear, natural communication during meetings and presentations.
As hybrid collaboration becomes increasingly common, audio quality plays a critical role in maintaining effective communication. The AEC module continuously analyzes both local and remote audio signals to identify and eliminate unwanted echoes before they reach remote participants.
The result is improved speech clarity, reduced listener fatigue, and a more professional conferencing experience for everyone involved.
The expansion module provides 12 independent channels of echo cancellation processing, allowing multiple microphones and conferencing zones to be managed simultaneously. This makes the system particularly effective in larger meeting spaces where multiple microphones are deployed throughout the room.
The AEC processors are assigned using channel inserts within the AHM architecture, offering flexible deployment and integration into existing signal workflows.
Each AEC channel incorporates a sophisticated 150ms FIR adaptive filter that continuously adapts to the acoustic characteristics of the room. The processing automatically models room reflections and speaker-to-microphone interactions, enabling highly effective echo removal even in challenging acoustic environments.
Built-in Far-End Automatic Gain Control (AGC) helps maintain consistent audio levels from remote participants. The system automatically adjusts incoming signal levels to ensure voices remain clear and intelligible throughout the conversation, regardless of variations in remote microphone levels.
Beyond primary echo cancellation, the module includes Residual Echo Non-Linear Processing (NLP) to further suppress any remaining echoes that may occur due to room acoustics or complex signal conditions.
Additional processing includes background noise reduction, near-end gating, and speech-shaped comfort noise generation, helping conversations sound more natural while minimizing distractions for all participants.
The AHM-32 with AEC module is specifically engineered for environments where conferencing is a critical requirement. Whether supporting video conferencing platforms, hybrid educational spaces, council chambers, training facilities, courtrooms, or executive boardrooms, the system provides the audio performance necessary for productive communication.
The solution integrates seamlessly with conferencing codecs, DSP environments, AV control systems, and networked audio platforms. Support for Dante, MADI, Waves, and SLink networking allows the system to scale easily as facility requirements evolve.
Integration with Crestron, AMX, and Extron control systems further simplifies operation and provides centralized control within larger AV deployments.
The Allen & Heath AHM-32 with AH-M-AHM-32-AEC-A module is ideal for corporate boardrooms, meeting spaces, video conferencing rooms, higher education classrooms, training centers, government facilities, courtrooms, healthcare environments, and any installation requiring professional-grade audio processing with advanced Acoustic Echo Cancellation capabilities.
